  Why did you leave the org?

  The Elders in Monett, MO wanted me to lie as a pledge of loyalty.

  Clean break: forty years went down the tube in one forty minute conversation.

  Funny how those situations work.....

  Call the Watch Tower and tell them you want to talk to someone about this or that and, then,

  vent.

  I called and said they were passing out "this paper thing about religion being bad and part of it had to do with bad religious people hurting kids."

  They transfered me.

  I told them why I thought they were a bunch of hyper-crits. The guy did not even know about the recent settlement. I challanged him to call the legal department.

  What does this accomplish?

  I got to vent.

  I got to vent.

  I got to vent.

  Whew.....feel a lot better....now I will finsih the dishes.

  (Yeah, I got this idea from other posts.....as one poster said when I posted something a bit naughty: 'Bad association, Vernon, bad association.......)

  Changes...............

  does anyone know of any changes in policy that's going to be implemented in or around 2008?

  ex.

  change in disfellowshiping rules etc.

  No, they will NOT ditch the eathly hope: they will, simply, bring ALL JWs within the New Covenant. Since ALL the tribes of Israel were under the Mosaic Covenant, so ALL the tribes in Revalation will be under the New Covenant. And, as one group, the Levites had a special privlege, so will the 144,00.

  So, as all partook of Passover, so all will partake of the Lord's Meal.

  This will bring all within equel footing, now. It will apply all the NT to everyone, except a few specific passages.

  It will solve a lot of problems. Few will be lost. Most, the majority, will rejoice.

  The '35 deal was just an odd angle into this whole deal. It is comming....

  How Do You Let Go Of Your Guilt?

  as witnesses, you are trained to feel guilty.

  i don't know if i'm rare regarding my guiltless feelings but i have not had any guilt whatsoever after leaving the witnesses.

  not even a little bit.....what about you?

  Guilt was never a motivater with me. Within the JWs, I guess that made me a type of Spiritaul Pervert. I did feel a huge amount of honor and responsibility. I consider them diferent things.

  "YUCK" 2

  after a recent spell of very warm weather several ant hills have popped up in the yard near the house and yesterday there were ants in the dogs food bowl inside the house.

  Jesus Christ vs. the "Faithful and Discreet Slave"

  this is something that has always striked me as being odd.

  most, if not virtually all jws i know give more praise to the fds(governing body) than they do jesus christ.

  it can even make you sick sometimes to hear the fds being mentioned so much.

  RF,

  Blondie is right: there has to be a mediator. Jesus is the mediator between the FS and Jehovah. The GB is the mediator between us and Jesus. We are two steps from the Living God.

  Since becomming a Christian and seeing Christ as he is: my Elder Brother, things are much, much better.

  The last two verses in Math 12 were most comforting post exit. Also, the first five verses of John 15: check them out, take them at face valure.

  607 to 1914 calculation question

  is there any culture that actually used years of 360 days length?

  if so, surely there would still be some kind of leap year to correct the calendar, why is that not taken into account?

  i'd never thought about it when i was a dub because you're not supposed to think!

  The egg illustration was funny to me because I work in a hatchery. We hatch out one and a quarter million chicks a week.

  It is four in the morning...I woke up...gotta drink.....checked this.

  I am horrible at numbers: I will try to get my head around this, tommorrow.

  5go,

  It is heading for that:everyone partaking. The distinction to what we might call "spiritual advantage" of the "annointed" over the "domestics" was removed by that issue of the WT the first of May, this year. Also, what I just mentioned better fits the "they will become one flock, one shepard" idea of Jesus parable.

  I do not think it would cause people to leave: a few, yes, however, long term, it would be more stabalizing. I was shocked when I read that May issue Questions from the Readers here on this sight. It was the biggest doctrinal shift of the Witnessess since Rutherford came out with the two class system. I was not expecting them to approach it from this angle: however, they had to dis-entangle from the '35 date. (Interestly, this was one of the points I brought up to the Elders here at Monett in Dec, "02: the math did not fit 35.....)

  Right now, the Society is morphing. Into what I do not knwow.

  I do know this: it will not be smarter or better. Same hash....different skillet.
